It still amazes me that the media and our government officials call the ongoing killings in Mexico things like “Drug Violence” or “Rival Gang Turf Battles”. Just trying to spin the utter failure of our current administration’s foreign policy into nice little politically correct terms.
To put the violence in perspective….
The Korean War produced 33,000 total US Military combat deaths during the 3 year Military action
The Vietnam War produced 47,000 US military combat deaths in the 20 year long war (7-8 years for the US)
The Mexican so called “Drug Violence” has claimed between 35,000 and 55,000 lives in the last 10 years.
Mexico continues to spiral down into the Western Hemisphere’s version of Somalia.
Make no mistake, Mexico is at war with itself and need to be identified as such on a global level.
I have my own semi-conspiratorial thoughts as to why our borders are not locked down 100% by our military and the flow of drugs stopped cold.
Mexico is part of the equation in trying to fuel our own economic recovery.
